Analysis of Data Protection Requirements and Data Deletion Concept (Automotive)

A car manufacture has employed a solution of blu Portals & Applications for administering the driver training of its customers (registration, implementation and post processing). Steps had to be taken to ensure that the system fulfils the customer’s high safety standards and complies with EU General Data Protection Regulations. In this regard, blu Systems created an analysis of protection requirements and developed a data deletion concept that is compliant with data protection regulations. 

Data Protection Management (IT Service Provider)

We are currently putting our complete range of data protection management services into practice at knooing GmbH. knooing GmbH provides a matching platform that helps find the perfect IT solution for the user from various providers quickly, easily and anonymously. In order to comply with the legal requirements of the EU GDPR, we initially analysed the websites and identified weaknesses. At the same time, the business and IT processes were assessed and recommendations for action were put forward. Contracts for commissioned data processing to be concluded with partners were then prepared.  Finally, the company received directories of procedures and guidelines that were to be communicated within the company. The project was then finalized by delivering awareness training that specifically trained employees on how to deal with personal data and reinforced the newly defined processes.

Project management - data center migration (electronics sector)

Within the scope of an international data center migration, the IT consultants from blu Systems were responsible for the quality assurance in the entire project.  All aspects of the project, from creating project plans to monitoring implementation and guaranteeing documentation, were taken into consideration. In this regard, we focussed on compliance with external and internal company standards and creating integral reporting.

Set-up and rollout of an international customer care center (insurance sector)

blu Systems provided the team of experienced project managers needed to replace an analogue customer care center with an IP-based solution. In addition to the design and implementation of ITIL-based service processes, our team was responsible for planning and managing the international rollout. In the successful implementation of the project, our specialist focuses were IT Service and IT Project Management. Experienced PMO employees from blu Systems also undertook the management, monitoring and controlling of the overall project, thus making a significant contribution to the success of the implementation.

Network security of a global network consolidation (insurance sector)

As part of a major consolidation project, blu Systems was responsible for the technical and conceptual IT security in the area of global, company-wide network infrastructure. Existing security requirements were taken into account and analysed. Relevant concepts for the reorganisation were then checked according to specifications. Compliance with accepted standards and conformity to requirements were also monitored during implementation.

Security Analysis (Chip Manufacturer)

Following a security incident, blu Systems was contracted to review the company's complete IT infrastructure as neutral entity, to identify weak points and to create an action plan. The entire network was initially checked using relevant analysis appliances and any unusual network communication was identified. The firewall rules were then checked and recommendations were made, most of which were implemented straight away. Finally, internal processes were taken into consideration, weak points were documented and measures were defined.

Infrastructure analysis (real estate sector)

blu Systems was contracted during a process of consolidation to implement a detailed technical analysis of the IT infrastructure.  All related processes were checked and compared with the client's business requirements. This resulted in the presentation an action plan, in which the client was provided with comprehensive recommendations for action and a roadmap for implementation within the next 24 months. At the same time, the current software licensing situation and all existing support contracts were taken into consideration and a concept to reduce costs was devised.

blu Systems guaranteed the operation as a whole and ensured proactive further development and maintenance of the company's software delivery solution. In addition to infrastructure, other software packaging tasks were undertaken, in particular quality assurance and the optimization of the created software packages.

Runbook automation in a private cloud environment (insurance sector)

blu Systems was contracted as part of a long-term project to realise the provision of heterogeneous IT infrastructure components via a self-service portal. In the first step, it was possible to achieve a reduction of the necessary provisioning time by approx. 90% through consistent automation while significantly reducing the rate of errors. In the second step, the existing automation solution was optimised and expanded to the Cloud Stack by implementing an OpenStack cloud solution.
